Lamphoo is a 2018 Nepali love story film directed by Gopal Chandra Lamichhane and released in theaters on 11 May 2018. The film stars Kabir Khadka in the lead role of Prasad, an unemployed young man, and Marishka Pokharel as Aarati, the girl he loves, with the actor Salon Chaudhary in an important antagonist role and child artist Kushagra Bhattarai in the role of Ramesh's younger brother. The film deals with a major concern of the Nepali society - unemployment - and the struggles of the young people of Nepal, and it was described by the media at the time of release as an entertainment package combining romance, comedy, tragedy, action and suspense.

Ramesh goes to Kathmandu in search of employment, where he befriends a man named Kyanam, played by Soul, who is actually a money-hungry fraud. When Ramesh discovers the true character of his dishonest friend, their friendship comes to an end, and the story reaches its suspenseful end, as Ramesh pursues reconnection with both his lady love and his friend, in a finale that holds onto the seat of the viewers.

The film is full of the typical Nepali flavor; its twists and turns, its misunderstandings between the lovers, and the presence of the traditional dances give it a dedicated charm, and the love at the center of the film is kept age-appropriate for the family audience.
