Jhelee is a Nepali drama film that was released in theatres on 28 March 2014. It was directed by Kamal Dahal and presented by Amar Ratna Production, with the film produced jointly by Ratna Maya Shrestha, Ram Prasad Maharjan and Sundar Bahadur Khatri. The story of the film was written by Bheshman Shrestha, while the script and dialogue were developed by Sushil and Prakash.

The movie introduced actress Surabina Karki to the Nepali film industry in the leading role, alongside Dipa B.C., Anil Thapa and Askar Sharma in the other principal roles. As was often the case with new productions of the time, much of the cast and crew of Jhelee were relatively unknown names, which made the film something of a launchpad for fresh talent in the industry.

On the technical side, the film featured cinematography by Sabnamm Mukhiya, music by Suryakiran Lama, editing by Roshan Lamichhane, and choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj and Saiman. The title of the film, which is a colloquial Nepali term for a girl, signals the female-centred nature of the story, and the movie set out to explore the life and struggles of its young heroine.

Jhelee arrived in a crowded release window: it came out around the same time as the critically loved Jhola and the comedy Jholey, both of which were released in the same period and proved to be far more successful. Because of the similarity in the three titles, Jhelee was often compared with those films, and it struggled to find the same audience. The film was later uploaded to YouTube, where the full movie can still be watched online.
