Buy NowChha Ekan Chha, which literally translates as "There Is One and Only One", is a 2014 Nepali comedy that was released in the cinemas of Nepal on 10 January 2014 with a UA certificate. The film was directed by Dinesh D.C. and the story, the screenplay and the dialogue of the movie were written by the famous comedian Deepak Raj Giri. The film was produced by Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula and Nirmal Sharma under the banner of Aama Saraswoti Movies, and it runs for about two hours and fifteen minutes. The movie brought together the most popular television comedians of Nepal on the big screen.
The story of the film follows a young woman named Astha, played by the actress Neeta Dhungana in the lead role, who goes through the dates with six different men of contrasting backgrounds and personalities. Each man brings his own funny character and his own strange habits to the story, and the film presents the hilarious situations that happen when the six suitors try to win the heart of the same girl. The comedy of the film is built around the classic style of the popular television series of the makers, with the characters of Chanchal Pandey, played by Deepak Raj Giri, and Magne, played by Kedar Ghimire, creating the biggest laughs of the picture.
The cast of the film includes Neeta Dhungana, Deepak Raj Giri, Kedar Ghimire, Jitu Nepal, Sitaram Kattel, Shiva Hari Poudel, Sandip Chhetri, Prem Pandey and Arjun Shrestha in the main roles, with the superstar Rajesh Hamal appearing in a special appearance and the veteran actor Raj Ballav Koirala also a part of the cast. The cinematography of the movie was handled by Purushottam Pradhan, the editing was done by Ananta Thapaliya, and the music was composed by Hari Bansha Acharya. Chha Ekan Chha was one of the successful comedies of the Nepali cinema of 2014, and it is remembered today as one of the early films of the Aama Saraswoti Movies banner, which later produced the hit series of the Chhakka Panja films.
