Senti Virus is a 2020 Nepali comedy drama film directed by Ram Babu Gurung, written by Kumar Kattel and Dipak Acharya, and produced by Dindu Lama under the banner of Subihani Films. The film is special for the Nepali cinema because it brings together the most popular comedy pair of the country, Sitaram Kattel and Kunjana Ghimire, the two comedians known in every home of Nepal. The film was released in the cinemas on 21 February 2020 on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, and it runs for two hours and fifteen minutes. The film was important for the country for another reason as well: the production team had announced that 15 percent of the profit of the film would be donated for the construction of the Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium, a project started by a well known foundation of Nepal.

The story of the picture is a political satire of the Nepali election. A village in the Kavrepalanchok district is getting ready for an election, and a rich and powerful man, Surya Bikram, played by Basanta Bhatta, has declared his candidacy. Dhrubaram, the hero played by Sitaram Kattel, is the president of the local branch of the party of Surya Bikram, and he is bound to support his party candidate. But the father of Juneli, the wife of Dhrubaram, also declares his own candidacy in the same election. Juneli, played by Kunjana Ghimire, wants her father to win, while her husband is forced to campaign for the opposite side, and this family fight over the election slowly turns into a marital dispute. The whole village becomes the stage of a funny and touching comedy about the confusion of the Nepali politics and the old and new generation of the leaders.

Besides the two main heroes, the film features a strong cast: Dayahang Rai plays a local leader, Wilson Bikram Rai appears as a youth of the village, Buddhi Tamang plays the neighbor of Dhrubaram, Sandip Chhetri plays the character of the land mafia, and Kamal Mani Nepal appears in a supporting role. The film was made at a cost of about 2.8 crore rupees and collected about 4.2 crore rupees from the audience of Nepal. The film was a hit in its opening days, and the makers had planned to screen it in Europe, America and South Korea as well. But the pandemic of COVID-19 closed the cinema halls of Nepal, and the movie was taken out of the theaters after three weeks of its release. Later the film was placed on the YouTube platform, where the people of Nepal still enjoy the comedy of Senti Virus today for free.
