Shree 5 Ambare is a 2014 Nepali love story that was released in the cinemas of Nepal on 21 November 2014 with a UA certificate. The film was directed by Deepa Basnet, who became known as only the second female director in the history of the Nepali film industry, and it was produced by TN Acharya and Deepak Acharya under the banner of Jiwansathi Films. The story and the dialogue of the movie were written by Abhimanyu Nirabi, and the picture featured the actor Saugat Malla in the title role, a new name that was given to him after he became popular with the role of Haku Kale in the hit film Loot.

According to the makers, the film is not based on a royal story, but it is the story of a common man who thinks very big of himself. Ambar, played by Saugat Malla, and Kali, played by Keki Adhikari, meet and fall in love in their childhood on the street. But the two children are separated when Kali is taken away by a man, and her life takes a completely different turn. While Ambar keeps nourishing his desire to become a king in the society, Kali has to live with the pain of her past, and the film shows how the two childhood lovers meet again in the changed world and what happens to their old promise of love.

The cast of the film included Saugat Malla, Keki Adhikari, Bikram Singh, the popular rapper Yama Buddha in an acting role, Sirjana Adhikari and Diwaj Rai, with the actress Priyanka Karki appearing in a cameo role. The cinematography of the picture was handled by Ganesh Kumar Shrestha, the music was composed by Basanta Sapkota, Kali Prasad Baskota, Baboo Bogati and Yama Buddha, with the background music by Binod Kumar Bhujel. The movie was promoted with a big city tour in which Saugat Malla was presented as the king with the crown and the royal seat, and the film remains known as an important step in the career of the actor and the director.
