Aadha Love

Aadha Love (which translates to "Half Love") is a 2017 Nepali social drama film written and directed by the actor Arpan Thapa. The movie is notable for being the debut production of the actress Reecha Sharma, who also appears in a leading role in the film, playing the character of a mother. The film was presented by Reecha Sharma Films.

Aadha Love was released in Nepali cinemas on June 9, 2017, with a running time of 138 minutes. Alongside Arpan Thapa and Reecha Sharma, the film features Mithila Sharma, Tika Pahari, Raymon Das Shrestha, Rojisha Shahi, Bipin Mickey Gurung and Basanta Bhatta in the leading roles.

The film tells a story based on the social issues of Nepal, and it deals with themes that touch the lives of ordinary Nepali families. Reecha Sharma, who had earlier played similar motherly roles in films like Ko Aafno, Bato Muni Ko Phool and Junge, said that she had been thinking of producing a film for a long time, and when director Arpan Thapa approached her with an interesting new script based on social issues, she decided to move ahead with the project.

The technical crew of the film brought together some of the most respected names in the industry. The cinematography was handled by Sisan Baniya, the music was composed by Tsujil Karmacharya, one of the most creative music directors of Nepali cinema, and the editing was done by Nimesh Shrestha.

Although the film did not perform well in the theatres, it was appreciated by reviewers and critics, who praised the story and the performances. The movie's realistic portrayal of social issues set it apart from the commercial formulas that dominated Nepali cinema at the time.

Aadha Love was released on YouTube in 2019 through HighlightsNepal, where it is available for audiences to watch. The film remains an example of the socially conscious cinema that Nepali filmmakers continue to produce alongside pure commercial entertainers.
