Fitkiree is a 2014 Nepali crime thriller that was released in the cinemas of Nepal on 21 March 2014 with a UA certificate from the censor board. The film is the directorial debut of Anup Baral, one of the most accomplished figures of the Nepali theatre, who is best known for his work as the director and the actor in the Nepali stage, particularly with the Actors Studio. The movie was produced by Arjun Kumar and Sumeet Mainali, the screenplay and the dialogue were written by Yangesh, and the picture was presented under the banner of Mega Entertainment.

The story of the film introduces the audience to the police officer Jeevan, played by Saugat Malla, who is going through a turbulent patch at present. Not only is his house right in the path of the ongoing road expansion project of Kathmandu and soon to be razed partially to the ground, but his long awaited promotion at work is also being stalled because of a particularly hairy investigation that he has been assigned. The case involves a crime syndicate that has gotten its dirty hands into a number of questionable ventures around town, and it soon becomes all consuming, taking over the life of Jeevan, a meandering hunt for truth that has both revelations and red herrings in store for the man in blue. As he toils to shape the investigation, he also gets involved in the romantic advances of a femme fatale, played by Diya Maskey, while he has his wife, played by Shanti Giri, and a kid to take care of. The film starts with the kidnapping of a major businessman, and the facts are put in a restrained way with a non-linear structure, which takes a generous time to pick out a clear picture.

The cast of the film included Nischal Basnet in an important role, and the director himself in a supporting role. The cinematography of the movie was handled by Purushottam Pradhan, the editing was done by Nimesh Shrestha, and the background score was composed by Kiran Tuladhar. The film was screened in Australia, with a premiere show in Sydney on 23 March, and it was expected to be screened in Japan as well.
