Batch No.16 is a 2011 Nepali action film that was released in the cinemas of Nepal on 11 March 2011 with a PG certificate from the censor board, and it runs for about one hundred forty minutes. The film is the debut movie of the director Pitambar Pandey, who also wrote the story and the screenplay of the picture together with Sohil T., and it was produced by Bikrant Shrestha and Surendra Poudel under the banner of Silence Entertainment. The director had earlier worked as an assistant director with the Indian director Anurag Basu in the movie Life in a Metro, and he proved with this film that a successful movie can be made after film related education and proper experience.

The name of the movie refers to the sixteenth batch of the Armed Police Force of Nepal. The story of the film follows two friends, Ram Karki, played by Suman Singh, and Guru Basnet, played by Arpan Thapa, who are true childhood friends working together in the Batch No.16 of the APF. The batch gets a mission to catch an international gang of Hakim, who is based in Pokhara and was planning bomb blasts. After the successful nabbing of Hakim, and with ten crore rupees of his money in their control, a conflict starts between the two friends, and the conflict takes the story of the movie to a new turning point. One of the friends wants to follow the law and be loyal to the nation, while the other wants to kill Hakim and share the money. Guru decides to forgo the mission and get his hands on the large sum of money, while Ram tries to stop his friend from making a big mistake and escapes with the money, only to make the police think that he betrayed his country. As Ram struggles to prove his innocence and protect his family, Guru is hot on his trail, trying to claim what he thinks is rightfully his.

The cast of the film included Ruby Bhattarai, Sushma Karki, Anup Baral in the role of the villain, and the child artist Aakash Kharel in the supporting roles. The dialogue of the movie was written by Pradeep Bhardwaj, the cinematography was handled by Purushottam Pradhan, the music was composed by Sugam Pokharel, Bikrant Shrestha and Kichhaman Chitrakar, and the action sequences were choreographed by Roson Shrestha. The movie was shot at the beautiful locations of Jomsom, Chitwan, Nawalparasi and Pokhara, and it got a good publicity for the different type of promotion and the technology used during the shooting. After its theatrical run, the full movie was uploaded for free on the YouTube platform.
