The Winner is a 2016 Nepali action film directed by Hikmat Bista and produced by Srijana Shah and Bikash Kharel under the banner of Diamond Star Films. The screenplay was written by Abhay Baral, and the story was written by Mahesh Man Shrestha, who also stars in the film. Shot across Nepal, Australia and Dubai, the movie was billed by its makers as one of the most expensive and ambitious Nepali films of its time, with an attempt to bring a Bollywood and Hollywood flavour to Nepali cinema.

The Winner was released in Nepali cinemas on November 4, 2016, alongside the film The Famous. The cast is led by Malina Joshi, Manchin Shakya and Mahesh Man Shrestha, with Reshu Tamang, Rajkumar Pant, Royal Maskey and Amit Giri in important roles.

The story follows Ryan, played by Mahesh Man Shrestha, a celebrity bike racer living in Sydney, Australia, who has never lost a race. Despite his success, he is involved in drug smuggling for a Sydney-based businessman named Royal Rana, played by Royal Maskey. Royal's sister Jennifer, played by Reshu Tamang, is a fan of Ryan, and the two fall in love at a bike launch event. When Royal discovers the affair, he sets a trap against Ryan, who flees to Dubai. In Dubai, Ryan loses Jennifer to Royal's gang members, and he then comes to Kathmandu to save his life. There, he is attacked by Manchin, played by Manchin Shakya, a local don who is out for revenge and uses a woman to lure Ryan into his trap. Meanwhile, Royal arrives in Nepal and strikes a deal with Manchin to kill their common enemy.

The cinematography of the film was handled by Sushan Prajapati and Purushottam Pradhan, and the music was composed by Amit Shrestha. The film used locations across three countries to create an international feel, including racing and action sequences designed to match the scale of big-budget cinema.

The film received a mixed review from The Himalayan Times under the headline "The Winner stumbles", which noted the ambition of the production while criticising its execution.
