Megha

Megha is a 2014 Nepali romantic and social drama film directed by Samjhana Upreti Rauniyar, in her feature film debut as a director, and produced by Bikas Rauniyar under the banner of Sabasta Entertainment. The film was released in theaters on 14 February 2014, on Valentine's Day. The film stars Namrata Shrestha in the lead role of Megha, an upper-middle-class professional architect, with Raymon Das Shrestha as Ishan, her husband, and Siddhartha Koirala as Gaurav, the man she becomes charmed by. The supporting cast includes Vintuna Joshi and the senior actors of the industry, and the cinematography was done by an experienced technical team of the industry.

The story of the film is a love-love triangle: Megha is a career-oriented woman with responsibilities at work and at home, but her married life is not happy. Her husband Ishan is irresponsible, uncompromising and less compassionate, and the couple fights over small issues that could have been settled by compromise. But things do not stay simple: in an emotional outburst, Megha reveals to her husband the deeply personal reason for the strain in their life, and she finally leaves both the men behind, making the brave decision to go back to her father, choosing her own dignity and independence, refusing to be defined by her relationships.
