Krishna Leela is a 2022 Nepali romantic drama film directed by Dipak Oli, written by the film journalist Laxman Subedi, and produced by Rohit Kattel and Ratna Shrestha under the banner of RR Films, with Ratna Shrestha also service as the executive producer. The film was released in Nepal and around the world on 19 August 2022, a special date chosen by the team, because it is the day of Krishna Janmashtami, the festival of Lord Krishna. The movie runs for about two hours and is rated PG.

The picture is a love story between a young couple from different sides of life. The lead actress Shraddha Chhetri lives in the role of Leela, and the actor Pushpa Khadka plays the role of Krishna. The title of the film therefore works in two ways: it is the name of the hero, and at the same time, the name of the divine play at Krishna, the teasing between love and pride that the story follows. The trailer of the film promised a combination of comedy, romance, suspense and emotions, and the film mixes these elements in the story of two strong hearts from different corners of the society, who must overcome the obstacles that keep them away.

Beside the two new leads of the film, the movie features a full supporting cast, that includes Buddhi Tamang, Rabindra Jha, Bhawana Gurung, Nabin Regmi, Hiuwala Gautam, Ayusha Chhetri and the child artist Ayush Guragain. The film was shot in the beautiful places of the eastern districts of Panchthar, Ilam and Jhapa, gifts, which give the movie a warm and colorful taste. The cinematography of Shiva Dhakal captures the mountains and the tea gardens of the east, while the music of the film was composed by Arjun Pokharel and Babul Giri, with the songs, further adding to the local feel. The editing was done by Arjun G.C. After its theatrical release, Krishna Leela was made available for the audience to stream online on the Video Pasal platform, and remains a family friendly romantic drama that shows a different face of the Nepali cinema halls of the year 2022.
