Manjari

Manjari is a 2013 Nepali romantic social drama film written and directed by Ganesh Dev Panday. The movie was produced by Naresh Pandey and Mahesh Chalise under the banner of Tuka Entertainment, and it was distributed by Mountain River Films. The story, originally by Sakthivel Balaji, is based on a true story that took place in Butwal, Nepal.

Manjari was released in Nepali cinemas on May 3, 2013, after its release date was pushed back by a month from its original schedule. The film has a running time of 153 minutes. It marks the acting debut of both of its lead actors: Gaurav Pahari, who plays Ishwor, and Sujata Koirala, who plays the title character Manjari. The film also features noted actor Tika Pahari, the father of Gaurav, in the role of Manjari's father.

The story is a romantic social drama that deals with the themes of teenage love and friendship. The plot follows Ishwor and his love for Manjari, and the obstacles that arise from family and society. The film makers had earlier complained that the censor board had unnecessarily removed some scenes from the movie, which delayed its release, but the film eventually reached theatres with these issues resolved.
