Nai Nabhannu La 4

Nai Nabhannu La 4 (which translates to "Don't Say No 4") is a 2016 Nepali romantic drama film written and directed by Bikash Raj Acharya. It is the fourth film in the hugely popular Nai Nabhannu La series, following Nai Nabhannu La in 2010, Nai Nabhannu La 2 in 2014 and Nai Nabhannu La 3 in 2015. The film was produced by Dinesh Pokharel and Haribol Bhandari under the banner of Bikas Raj Acharya Film Production.

Nai Nabhannu La 4 was released in Nepal, Australia and the USA on April 8, 2016, with a running time of 120 minutes. The film is famous for introducing three new stars to Nepali cinema: Paul Shah, who plays Neer, Barsha Raut, who plays Anjana, and Aanchal Sharma, who plays Aanchal. The film also features Priyanka Karki as Aani, Anubhav Regmi as Shishir and Saroj Khanal as Anjana's father.

The film was a blockbuster at the box office, emerging as one of the highest-grossing Nepali films in the country. Made on a budget of about 1.29 crore rupees, the film collected around 4 crore rupees worldwide. It turned Barsha Raut and Aanchal Sharma into stars and boosted the stardom of Paul Shah, who was already popular from his music videos.

The story follows Neer, a heartbroken man on the run, who finds unexpected love with an innocent girl. Their romance is ultimately torn apart by the tragic weight of his past, involving the kidnapping of his girlfriend, leading to a dramatic and tragic fate for the hero.

The technical crew included cinematographer Purushottam Pradhan, editor Arjun G.C. and music director Basanta Sapkota, whose popular songs became hits across the country. The screenplay was written by Bikash Raj Acharya and Samipya Raj Timalsena.

Critics gave the film mixed responses, with The Himalayan Times calling the story over-dramatised, but audiences responded overwhelmingly. The film is available on YouTube on the Budha Subba Digital channel, and it remains one of the most commercially successful films of the Nai Nabhannu La franchise.
