Chi Musi Chi is a 2018 Nepali film written and directed by Dinesh Shrestha, produced by Shivraj Karki as executive producer alongside producers Arun Gurung, Maheshwor Khatri, Subash Bhurtel and Dub Bdr Gurung under the banner of Silver Lake Picturez Production. The movie was released in theaters on July 27, 2018, and was one of the most talked-about films of its season. It carries the English tagline Even Dead Desire Belonging.

The film stars Sunil Chhetri, Alisha Sharma and Sushant Karki in the lead roles, with Kamali Waiwa, Sashank Bashyal, Sekhar Subedi and Shivraj Karki in supporting parts. Sunil Chhetri, who gained national recognition through the fourth season of the Indian dance competition show Dance India Dance in 2013 and later appeared in the Bollywood movie Happy New Year alongside Shah Rukh Khan, brought his performance background to the film.

Actor Sushant Karki described Chi Musi Chi as the role of a lifetime. He revealed that the cast spent about fifteen days finalizing his look, including wardrobe and hair, with director Dinesh Shrestha guiding the process, and another fifteen days building the character's behavioral traits. Karki said the role was the kind he had always dreamt of playing since starting his acting career, and that the crew was friendly and helpful throughout the shoot.

The music of the film was composed by Karan Raj Karki, with the title song Chi Musi Chi sung by Sujata Pandey with lyrics by Santosh Pokharel. The cinematography was handled by Basu Neupane, editing by Bhupendra Adhikari, action by Asta Maharjan, and the visual effects by Satyam Rana and Shree Krishna Shrestha. The choreography was led by Vikram Swar, and Namrata Sapkota appeared in the title song video.

Director Dinesh Shrestha, who had previously directed Kaamchor and Shakuntala, also wrote the story and screenplay of Chi Musi Chi. The film's theatrical trailer, edited by Krishna Bhandari, built strong anticipation, and the movie remains an example of the ambitious commercial filmmaking of 2018 in Nepal.
