Soongava, known internationally as Soongava: Dance of the Orchids, is a Nepali love story film that was released in theatres on 4 January 2013 with an Adult certificate from the censor board. The film was directed by Subarna Thapa, who also wrote the story and the screenplay of the picture, and it was a joint production of the French and the Nepali cinema. The film is remembered as the first Nepali film that dealt openly with the subject of the love between two women.
