Kabaddi Kabaddi Kabaddi is a 2019 Nepali romantic comedy drama film directed by Ram Babu Gurung and co-written by the director with Upendra Subba. The film was produced by Mani Ram Pokharel, Arjun Karki and Om Chand Rauniyar under the banners of Baasuri Films and Mountain Stories, with the presentation of Cinema Art, and it was released in theaters on 20 September 2019 with a runtime of 115 minutes. It is the third installment of the beloved Kabaddi franchise, which began in 2014 with the original Kabaddi and its sequel Kabaddi Kabaddi, and it continues the saga of the hapless, lovable village hero Kaji, played by Dayahang Rai. The film was a box-office hit with a collection of over seven crore rupees against a budget of around two and a half crore.

The story picks up after the events of the second film, in which Kaji's long-time unrequited love, Maiya, eloped with her lover. Now Kaji is more arrogant than ever: he claims that love is no longer his priority and that he will live the rest of his life with Maiya's memories. However, fate brings a new woman into his life. Kaji develops feelings for Kashi, the daughter of his father's friend, played by Upasana Singh Thakuri. But Kashi is in love with a man named Myaki, played by Karma Shakya, and she is also under pressure from her mother, Guni Maya, to marry the wealthy Dhan Kaji, played by Wilson Bikram Rai, while her father Lal Bahadur favors Kaji.

A complicated love quadrangle develops, and Kaji attempts to pursue Kashi, befriending her father to compete with the rich suitor. He finally confesses his love, but Kashi rejects him. Yet having matured from his previous heartbreak, Kaji decides not to obsess over unrequited love; instead, he chooses to help Kashi and her lover Myaki in their pursuit of happiness, showing a growth of the character. The film keeps the comic tone of the franchise alive with the improvised dialogues of its stars, and the return of familiar characters of the franchise: Kaji's parents Mukhiya and Mukhini, and his friend B.K.

The cast includes Dayahang Rai, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Rishma Gurung in a special appearance as Maiya, Karma, Wilson Bikram Rai, Buddhi Tamang, Bijaya Baral, Puskar Gurung, Kabita Ale, Maotse Gurung, Loonibha Tuladhar, Kamal Mani Nepal and Aruna Karki. The film was well-acted and maintained the franchise's signature mix of comedy, love and social issues set in a semi-rural Nepali world, although some critics felt the formula had grown familiar and that the story needed more creativity.

With its dialogue-driven humor, charming performances and the beloved character of Kaji, Kabaddi Kabaddi Kabaddi remains a popular chapter in one of the most successful film franchises of modern Nepali cinema.
